The scientific-technological Company
(STC) “Alkan Ltd” is the independent Azerbaijan Company which was
founded in 1994. The employees of our Company are a large group of
scientists of Azerbaijan. Also, the group includes large-scale
organizers of the industry and specialists of the production. The
Company’s activity is concentrated on three directions – research work
and creation of the new chemical technologies, application in industry
and production of chemical agents as well as marketing and delivery of
our products. In all these three directions our main idea is the following:
- Usage of our scientists’ experience in the field of
oil extracting, petrochemistry and petrochemical processes, creation
of new technologies and new kinds of products so that the competitors
treat us with respect and the customers and suppliers prefer us;
- Usage of the potential of Azerbaijan in the field
of chemical industry, maximum usage of local kinds of raw material and
human resources so that our public relation will be at the highest
level and the investors will strive to invest in our Company;
- To achieve the best economical and financial
indices for Company, improve the welfare of our employees, so that all
of them will be proud of their own work results.
Being grounded on this philosophy, since the
foundation of STC “Alkan Ltd” we have succeeded to elaborate and apply
in industry a number of reagents for oil extracting industry, create new
kinds of high-molecular polyethers for different technical purposes and,
at last, due to qualities, characteristics and technological
requirements and on the basis of a tough competition with worldwide
leading companies to achieve large application of our reagents not only
in our Republic but also to export production. Since the very beginning of our activity we
have been the initiators of a number of new proposals, creation and strengthening of
strategic unions. It enables our Company and its partners to work out more optimal solutions for each project. Our reagents were
tested by the largest rival companies in Germany and Great
Britain. We have been recognized and cooperated with. We have definite
experience in the given area, we carry out a research work, we have the
manufacturing power, suitable raw sources and we are open for cooperation
with interested partners for organization of new productions,
modernization and application of new technologies in republic.
The republic disposes a large oil and raw material potential as
well as highly qualified specialists. The perfecting of used technologies
provides ample opportunities for successful development of oil industry
which is still a key link of Azerbaijan’ economy. To be held on foremost
technological positions is possible only on the basis of scientific
achievements, serious fundamental and applied researches in the field of
working out new and perfecting already known processes.
For the solution of these problems STC “Alkan Ltd”
relies
on the potential of the Institute of petrochemical processes AS of
Azerbaijan which is one of the largest scientific centers not only in
Azerbaijan but also in all CIS. In this Institute profound fundamental researches and applied studies in the field of oil refining, petrochemistry, chemistry of
high-molecular compounds, catalysis and chemical technology have been
carried out for the period of more than 7 decades. There is a
base of modern spectral physico-chemical methods of testing for definition
of molecules constitution, quantitative and qualitative estimation,
analysis of molecular mass distribution of different materials, oils and
oil products.
The industrial production bases on experience and
potential of the largest Azerbaijan State Company “Azerkhimia”. In plants
of this company the new technologies designed by STC “Alkan Ltd” are
applied and the production of indispensable chemical agents are developed.
At present “Alkan Ltd” is a large-capacity producer of
competitive oil demulsifiers, reagents for increasing oil transportation
through
pipeline, for cleaning of well bore zone and increasing oil debit of beds,
a creator of new technologies and owner of a lot of “know-how” which are
going to be applied and used in industry.
STC “Alkan Ltd” as a result of its scientific
achievements has created a number of new reagents which in conditions of a
rigid competition with large worldwide companies are already successfully
applied in oil industry at the extraction and refining of oil. They are
applied not only in Azerbaijan but are delivered to the states of Caspian
region and to one of the largest oil extracting states of Near-East.
DEMULSIFIERS OF OIL
Emulsion generated at the oil extraction is
the main cause of large losses of oil, pollution of the environment, rise
in price of oil transportation and increasing of energy output at
processing. Oil emulsion consists of oil, water, different salts, sand and
other mechanical impurities. The core for oil preparation is always a
demulsifier, the application of which now is the international technical
standard. The application of effective demulsifiers decreases the cost
price of prepared oil for 25-30%.
Oil demulsifiers designed by us have appeared similar and in a number of
cases superior than the best emulsion breakers which are known at the
present. It is very important that we can select and create reagents
conformably to concrete situations, concrete fields where other emulsion
breakers do not work.
They are not only similar to reagents of
large worldwide companies but in a number of cases
surpass them on demanded parameters: the speed of dehydration of emulsion exceeds in 2-6 times;
depending on field the consumption of our reagents is 20-60% less for;
after processing the water content in oil reaches residual tracks and, at
last, very important that these reagents are ecologically less dangerous.
Since 1997 up to now, The Production
Association of oil and gas production by the sea of State Oil Company of
Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has completely passed on usage of ALKAN
emulsion breakers and has refused from imported analogues which were used
in Azerbaijan during more than 30 years.
Efficiency of emulsion breakers such as
“Alkan” were tested on steady and difficult separable oils of Kazakhstan,
Turkmenistan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, UAE and also Norway.
REAGENTS FOR
EFFECTING IN
A WELL BORE ZONE
A
reagent such as
“PROGRESS-2000” is designed and successfully tested by oil
industry workers.
This reagent is destined for bottom-hole treatment, clearing of wells and
increasing of oil output.
The definite outcomes are obtained and we are proud of the fact that our workers
in the oil industry have recognized these achievements.
The given reagent has the special significance for processing of aged and
exhausted fields for increasing oil debit, also increase inter-repair
period of wells and fast field completion treated by “PROGRESS”. Its
application for onshore fields will be very considerable.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
An environmental, health and welfare protection of the
population of regions, where reagent of STC “Alkan Ltd” work, has a huge
value for us. An indispensable condition for our new designs is the
organization of research work by estimation of sanitary-toxicological
properties and effecting on ecology during carrying out of production
activities and application of obtained materials. Thus STC “Alkan Ltd”
aims:
